Nearly nobody learns. I split people into 3 camps. Those that will figure it out on their own (the unicorn population). Those that can be coached. Those that will never see the need to think about this.
Sadly, group size increases as you progress through the list. The ones who will figure it out can be accelerated through their process and will wind up being your boss. The coachable ones can become bulwarks within your company. The last group... well, you know the rest ;-)
